|
Malt Vinegar One remedy is using malt vinegar. Apply the vinegar to your armpits before you go to bed and wash your armpits clean in the morning before applying your normal antiperspirant.
Shave Your Armpits By removing the hair from your armpits, the hair won't trap the sweat and odors. There will be more air circulation for your skin so its not so hot under your armpits.
Right Clothing Don't wear tight or dark clothes. Dark clothes will absorb heat and tight clothes will restrict the air flow and be more prone to sweat stains.
Clinical Strength Deodorant and Antiperspirant If your current antiperspirant is not working for you, try another brand before trying anything else. These special deodorants can be bought in the store and have stronger active ingredients. It is more expensive, but if it works, then it will be well worth the money. One such example is the "Secret Clinical Strength Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant". It costs about $9 and has had so-so to amazing testimonials on its performance.

A Solution of Aluminum Chloride If nothing is working, you can try a 20% solution of aluminum chloride which you buy from the drug store. Drichlor, Drysol, Anhydrol Forte, Odaban, and Perspirex are other names for it. Basically, it causes pores of the sweat glands to swell and block the sweat from coming out. You apply the solution your armpit before going to bed. Make sure your armpits are dry since the solution can react with water. The solution can irritate the skin so do not apply it if your just shaved your armpits, or if your armpits are irritated, or have broken skin. When you wake up, wash the solution off your armpits. Repeat this procedure for 2 to 3 days at night then reduce the frequency of application to once or twice a week so your skin does not get too irritated.
